"To conceive and produce an animation to accompany one of the two selected audio files that will clarify, energise, and illuminate the content.
Chosen Audio
Jeffrey Boayke's message in 'Interrogate the Truth' talks about social justice through the shortcomings of western society. It argues that everyone should be encouraged to think about the status quo to improve social justice efforts.
OUTCOME
Inspiration and style.
The aim of the animation is for it to compliment the audio while allowing the words to be the main focus of attention. To achieve this the style is kept simple, with one focus point: a circle. The shapes and colours are kept simple and minimal, if one shape passed over another an inverted effect or a liquid effect was used so it was still able to be followed even if their colours were the same. Gradients have been used to show information and knowledge being shared.
Typefaces.
The title font being used is Ade, a serif yet decorative font. It was reserved solely for the titles and larger text for readability. It's sharp serifs and sloping points give the sense of tradition thats slightly askew, reflecting the message of a broken system. The secondary font is a simple sans-serif, it contrasts the main type and remains readable.
